Admission Overview

• Welcome to USMD Hospital at Arlington. We’re glad you chose us for your healthcare needs. Whether your stay is a few hours, or several days, we want to help make it as comfortable as possible. That’s the purpose of this website-to answer any questions and guide you through your stay.
• USMD Hospital at Arlington admits and treats all patients regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, age, or handicap.

• Admission/dismissal information
• For Emergency Services, report directly to Emergency at the east entrance. For all other services and procedures, report to the Registration Desk in the main lobby.
• The Registration Desk is open at 6 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. See the Security Guard at the east (Emergency) entrance for directions.
• Although we try to make each patient’s stay pleasant, most patients are eager to go home. Please remember that only your attending physician can dismiss you. For inpatients, checkout time is 11 a.m. The actual time you leave depends on your doctor.
• Day Surgery patients will be dismissed from their Day Surgery room after a brief stay in the recovery room. YOU MUST HAVE SOMONE DRIVE YOU HOME.
