- Please don’t forget to bring your insurance card and/or Medicare card. Also, bring any other medical cards or information and a picture identification card.
- If you’re staying overnight, you might want to bring your own nightgown or pajamas. You might also want a robe and nonskid slippers, personal care items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and shampoo.
- Other personal items should be left at home. The hospital cannot be responsible for the safety of your money or other items. You may, however, need a credit card or checkbook for your dismissal.
- Medications should be left at home or given to your nurse. We’ll return them when you’re discharged.
- Keep track of your glasses, contact lenses, or dentures. When you’re not using them, put them in the cases in your bedside table. Sometimes, patients leave personal items wrapped in tissue on their meal trays, and they could be accidentally discarded.
